Zeinab Abdalla

Zeinab Abdalla joined Designs for Learning in 2023 as a Special Education Coordinator. She earned her Master’s degree in Special Education with a specialization in Autism from the University of St. Thomas. She later completed a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, also at St. Thomas, further strengthening her commitment to equity, leadership, and student-centered practice.

Before joining Designs, Zeinab worked as a special education teacher at a local school and has served in both teaching and special education coordination roles. At Designs, she works as a special education teacher

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their four children, traveling, and cooking. Zeinab is also pursuing her passion for writing children’s books. Her bilingual books, written in Somali and English, feature diverse characters, including women wearing hijabs, and share meaningful messages.
