Melissa Varanasi

Melissa Varanasi joined the Designs for Learning team in June 2015, bringing expertise and a deep commitment to student communication success. Her educational journey began at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, where she earned a BA in German Education and TESOL in 1986. Driven by a passion for communication sciences, she then attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, graduating with an MA in Communication Disorders in 1993.

Melissa began her professional career in the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District. Since 2009, she has worked with charter schools. 

In her free time, Melissa enjoys knitting, sewing, gardening, and traveling. An avid reader, she also loves spending time at home with her family and their three cats.
